The Canadian Academy Library Media Center is a spacious facility located in the center of the school, housing both the Secondary and Elementary libraries. Offering ample room and resources for research, independent study and personal reading to students in grades 1-12, it is a hub of activity at our school. The Library houses more than 42,000 volumes in its collections, which contain print, digital and audiovisual materials. We subscribe to numerous magazines, professional journals, daily newspapers and several online databases. The library collections and eBooks are accessible through our online catalog and can be accessed remotely. Hours Monday, Tuesday,Thursday: 8:00 - 4:30 Wednesday: 8:00 - 2:30 Friday: 8:00 - 4:00
Library Expectations
The library's primary role is to provide an environment for students and teachers to read, browse the shelves, work silently or in a group, and relax during free periods. Please be respectful of the other people in the library by choosing activities that allow everyone to work and relax together in a peaceful, communal space.
